From wellhead gathering to oil and gas transportation and sales to utilities or refineries, Dennis has the full spectrum of experience in the midstream oil and gas sector. He transitioned to private practice after extensive in-house experience handling federal and state regulatory matters related to natural gas pipelines and processing plants and commercial transactions related to the natural gas midstream sector.

Most recently, he was Senior Counsel for Third Coast Midstream, LLC (f/k/a American Midstream Partners, LP) responsible for federal and state regulatory matters related gas and crude oil pipelines, gathering systems, processing facilities and terminals. Dennis had similar responsibilities as an attorney at Panhandle Eastern Corporation and Texas Gas Transmission Corporation. Dennis has also represented parties in proceedings before the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”), including appeals of CPUC Opinions to Colorado District Courts and the Colorado Supreme Court. He was also an adjunct professor at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law where he taught Energy Law for ten years.

Dennis is licensed to practice law in Colorado. Dennis completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky, where he also received his law degree.
